Gondwana Records is an independent record label, founded in Manchester in 2008 by trumpeter, composer and producer Matthew Halsall and his brother, graphic designer and artist, Daniel Halsall.
Inspired by a love of deep spiritual jazz and UK club culture, Gondwana initially focused on releases from Matthew Halsall and saxophonist Nat Birchall featuring the cream of Manchester jazz talent. In 2012 Gondwana released the debut albums from acoustic-electronica trio GoGo Penguin and folk-jazz minimalists Mammal Hands, and in 2018 ushered in the return of Portico Quartet to the studio, helping define a strand of progressive electronica and jazz-influenced new music that is one of the label’s defining sounds alongside jazz, neo-classical and ambient music. Subsequently Gondwana has become the home of trailblazing and progressive new artists such as Hania Rani, Svaneborg Kardyb, Vega Trails and Jasmine Myra.
In 2018 Gondwana Records celebrated its tenth anniversary with a series of multi-artist events including concerts at the Roundhouse London, RNCM Manchester and AB in Brussels. In 2023 label founder Matthew Halsall announced his ninth studio album ‘An Ever Changing View’ and a major tour including a headline show at the Royal Albert Hall.

Delivery Times
We deliver products in stock within 5 working days to the address given by you.
Dispatch beyond the Federal Republic of Germany and within Europe, can take up to approx. 10-14 working days. When shipping to the non-European foreign countries the delivery time is dependent on the dispatch type and the receiver’s country.
In light of the coronavirus pandemic, delivery times can vary at the moment. Please note, as the situation is dynamic, the impacts on dispatch and delivery services are subject to change without notice.

We accept Payment via bank transfer, Paypal, and debit/credit card. If your residence is outside of Germany you only can pay by prepayment (depends on the possibilities in each country), credit card or PayPal.

Returns and refunds
Return policy
You can return any item for whatever reason within 30 days after the arrival of your delivery.
Please make sure to use a proper box, protective bag or padding paper to wrap the stuff that is supposed to be returned to us. Don´t forget to enclose the return form and assure that the shipment is postpaid addressed to:

In order to return your order, you can use the original packaging of your shipment or your own resources for example a cardboard box. After receipt and processing of your return, the refund will be processed and you're then able to order any other desired items directly in our shop by placing a new order.
Please pay attention to the following:
- Please note the deadline for all returns is 30 days after the arrival of your delivery, you can return any item for whatever reason.
- Unsealed CDs, DVDs or Vinyl can not be exchanged.
- The item has to be unwashed.
- Tickets will not be refunded or exchanged.

Refund
Your refund will be done within a maximum timeframe of 10 working days after your return has been processed. Depending on the chosen payment method in your order we automatically refund the amount via PayPal or Credit Card.
With the payment option 'prepayment' we will require your account information to process the refund. Please check the information before you contact us, as incorrect or incomplete information can result in a delay in us processing the refund.
